Biography

Jarda Dokoupil has recently joined Future Considerations, management consultancy that is building a better world through building better organizations. Previous to this engagement, Jarda has been a Director of AIESEC International team 2006-2007 responsible for the Central and Eastern European countries as well as worldwide implementation of one of the five global priorities for the year. AIESEC is one of the largest student organizations in the world offering its member’s unique opportunities for complex personal development aimed at developing internationally minded leadership relevant for the 21st Century in 100 current member countries.

Jarda has been involved with AIESEC since the year 2001; he has been taking numerous responsibilities and leadership roles on local, national and international level. His passion always was leadership and working with people, he has performed as a trainer, facilitator, manager, leader, speaker, consultant, motivator, listener, coach and friend on numerous occasions. He has received two consecutive national leadership awards within AIESEC in the Czech Republic and became president of AIESEC in the Czech Republic preceding his current engagement with AIESEC’s international headquarters.

Besides being involved with AIESEC Jarda has been working as an external trainer and consultant for Learn2Lead, training and development company operating on the Czech market and belonging to largest training company operating on central European market – Develor. He has also taken few short term assignments in the HR area working for Ernst&Young, Montauk Yacht Club and undergone intensive oneweek management shadowing program in Microsoft Czech Republic. Jarda has also taken part in other extracurricular activities such as Karl Popper’s debate league or student conferences in France and Netherlands.

Jarda is an ambitious individual that values honesty, authenticity and integrity. He seeks continuous learning through pursuing challenging opportunities, working in diverse environments and developing himself and others. He would describe himself as a creative, open-minded and warm person. In personal life he enjoys sports, reading, enlarging his personal network and traveling to interesting locations around the globe.
Jarda has obtained two degrees during his studies, Master degree in International trade and Applied psychology and sociology in management, defending his thesis dealing with experiential learning program design and application. He has also obtained a second CEMS Master degree in international management and studied and worked in English, French and Czech language. Jarda is a holder of Cambridge CPE language certificate as well as CEMS language certification in English and French. During his High School studies, Jarda was selected along with 7 other people among 300 applicants for one year international study experience at The Hotchkiss School, prestigious high school situated in Connecticut, USA and completed the year with A- overall average. The program was co-sponsored by Open Society Fund and facilitated by ASSIST organization.
